Filmmaking Frenzy is your home on the web for filmmaking competitions. Completed videos for our two most recent frenzies, the 2008 Fantastic Fest Bumper Competition and the 2008 Bloodshots Competition, have just been added to this website.  You can also check out movies from past Frenzies in our Past Frenzies section, and you can keep up to date with future Frenzies here on this page or in the nav bar at the top.

When you sign up for any competition you'll need to register as a Filmmaking Frenzy user first, then that account will be tied to all of the events you enter and you'll be able to access your info in one centralized location. But don't worry, you can still change your team name from Skippy Monkey Jumpers to Harpoon Happies whenever you feel like it.

Individual competitions may have different registration fees (although most are free), but signing on as a FilmmakingFrenzy.com user will always be totally free, so several people from your team can register and join the community as it builds. We also post information, videos, photos and updates at our Filmmaking Frenzy Facebook community.

CURRENT FRENZIES: There are currently no active frenzies.  Prizes for the 2008 Bloodshots Competition  will be awarded on Monday, September 22 at the Fantastic Fest Awards Ceremony.

BLOODSHOTS Winners Announced!
The judges and juries have spoken, and the winners for this year's Bloodshots festival were officially crowned at the Fantastic Fest Awards Ceremony on Monday night. And now, for those of you who couldn't be there live, here are the results:

Congratulations to all the finalists, and we hope to see you at the Best Of Screening this Sunday! If you can make it out, shoot me an email and I’ll have two tickets for each filmmaking team available at will call on Sunday afternoon.

At that screening, we’ll be watching all of these movies, and pausing in between to hear feedback from our judges, who will be scoring each film and choosing the ultimate winners. We’ll announce the top three teams at this Best Of screening, but the final winner won’t be known until the official Fantastic Fest Awards Ceremony on Monday night.

Stay tuned for future Frenzies. Our plan right now (which is completely subject to change) is to do some sort of holiday special Frenzy in December. I’ll keep you posted. ..more
